Beaches in Macau are mainly located at Hac-Sa Beach, Cheoc Van Beach and the east end of Taipa-Coloane highway, these places can be categorized into complete beach and incomplete beach according to their configuration.
Just as its name implies, the sands in Hac-Sa Beach (Black Sand Beach) is black in colour. It is located in Coloane and famous for its tiny and black sands, it is a complete beach. Hac-Sa Beach extends 1 km wide like a meniscus, it is the largest crude bathing place in Macau and an ideal whither for outing, boating and swimming. Hac-Sa has its own unique lingering charm which makes it appraised as one of the eight scenes in Macau. A lot of people like spending a nice time at the beach on weekends and during summers. There is a Hac-Sa Park near the entrance to the beach, and there is a swimming pool inside the park. An ample parking lot, bus stop and a few snack shops are available by the Beach.
Located at the south of Coloane, Cheoc Van is an incomplete beach. It is small but graceful. There is a restaurant situated beside Cheoc Van Beach, customers can enjoy the nice seascape while tasting a nice meal or drink. There is a nostalgic hotel near the beach, with an outdoor café which overviews the entire seascape. With an area of 4,000 square meters, Cheoc Van Park is located beside Cheoc Van Beach, there is a snack shop, changing rooms and an irregular shape swimming pool inside the park. There is also a marine activity centre beside the Beach, with trainers giving instructions on riding canoes and yachts. In recent years, the government built unique Portuguese style resorts by the side of Cheoc Van Beach.
