Rising 154 meters high into the sky, MGM Grand Macau hotel resort is perfectly located on a prime waterfront site in Macau’s central burgeoning Nam Van district. The main building is separated into three distinct segments with wavy, shimmering glass in different colors, reflecting the hues of the South China Sea and clearly mirroring the rolling swell of the ocean surf.

Upon entering the lobby, you are just like inside a huge art gallery and immediately greeted by the large ceiling-hung glass sculpture created exclusively for MGM Grand Macau by the world renowned glass artist, Dale Chihuly. This delicate hand-blown glass flower named “Fiori di Paradiso Ceiling” echoes with another large piece of wall artifact composed of 52 glasses of vibrant colors right behind the reception desk, which is also of Chihuly’s masterpieces and is called “Fiori di Paradiso Drawing Wall”. Chihuly’s works are also displayed on the sides of the hotel corridor after the concept store in the Vegas’ Bellagio Hotel. The retail gallery features Chihuly’s valuable limited edition fine art prints, books, drawings, architectural installations and even more.

Among MGM Grand Macau’s major attractions, the Grande Pra?a is definitely drawing much people’s attention. This dynamic space occupies an area of 1,088 square meters and soars 25 meters above ground to a spectacular glass ceiling, overflowing with European-inspired architecture. In particular, the design of the fa?ade midmost was inspired by the Central train station in Lisbon. Such spacious venue is with no doubt an ideal location for fashion shows, banquets and various kinds of special events.

In addition to the Grand Pra?a, the VIP hotel lobby also demonstrates the beauty of European elegance. The huge wall mirrors surrounding the lobby resemble a shining enclosure; the jade and marble flooring produces a grassy feel as well. The design inspiration comes from the “Wall Garden” concept, with the aim of making VIP guests feel like they are privileged to be in a private garden. Adding to the luxurious ambience of the lobby, the ceiling is even decorated with much delicacy with gold foil.

With the 35-storey high main building, the MGM Grand Macau hotel resort has a total number of 593 well-appointed guest rooms, including two Duplex Villas of 440 square meters and 540 square meters respectively, and 24 villas ranging from 220 square meters to 380 square meters. The rolling camber of the wave changes the size and shape of each room, creating a varied space in each.

Of course, in MGM Grand Macau you can find an array of the world’s top cuisines and a diversity of international tastes that to a very large extent define this hotel resort. Some of the best signature restaurants are indeed nestled in the “French integrated area” in the main lobby, which perfectly correspond with the lobby’s European-inspired architecture. If you need a break from the hotel’s excitement, don’t miss the Six Senses Spa and experience its internationally acclaimed treatments to cleanse your tired body and soul.
